About Mass Media Co.

Mass Media Co. (MMC) is a digital marketing company that runs on data. Its team reads live numbers to make decisions and get results for clients.

At the center sits a protected audience database of verified personally identifiable information (PII), gathered from many sources. With it, MMC plans tightly targeted campaigns that put the right message in front of the right people.

Scope of work: user interviews; UI and UX design; information architecture (IA); web app and mobile app design; and a full product revamp.

What was slowing MMC down

MMC's order work was spread across tools that did not talk to each other, so every order took extra time and manual effort. That caused three problems:

  • The experience changed from tool to tool, even though the team used all of them daily.
  • Order takers had to jump between systems just to complete one customer order.
  • The setup could not grow with the business. The team saw that one well-built system would make order taking faster.

MMC wanted one partner to rethink both the workflow and the software. We joined the MMC team and worked through that whole transformation together.

How we approached the revamp

We began with a discovery workshop, because the redesign had to serve MMC's business goals first. Stakeholders and end users joined us to define the product, set the strategy, and map the information architecture and user flows.

That work led to an omnichannel platform covering every marketing touchpoint, organized around five experiences.

Selling social campaigns

Sales reps sell social work, like Facebook marketing, as packaged products with clear goals, so each offer is simple to explain.

Building and tracking campaign sales

One card per campaign lists revenue, cost, total and number of orders. The team can judge any sale in seconds.

Reporting on audience engagement

Clients get reach broken out by channel, age group and device, which shows exactly who their campaign touched.

Managing creative tasks

Each creative task card names its owner, its due date and how far along it is, from in progress through to done.

Managing products and orders

An order summary puts channels like H&V, video, audio and email side by side, so order takers see which channels drive volume.

What the new platform does

The new MMC platform is a single B2B marketing tool, and this SaaS product redesign gave it four main strengths:

  • Deep data analytics that segment audiences with precision.
  • Many media channels under one roof, so each campaign stays consistent.
  • Tailored, persuasive content for every audience segment.
  • Live performance tracking, backed by dedicated client support.

Together they cut the effort behind every campaign and close the distance between MMC's clients and the audiences they want to reach.

A single dashboard now covers open tasks, sales operations, recent tasks and how work flows for each client.

In order management, the team combines data processing services, digital channels and data products into one order, and the estimated cost updates as items are added.

The results for MMC

Streamlined workflows, automated tasks and solid tracking made MMC's operations more efficient: order processing efficiency rose 30%, and the error rate fell from 25% to 2+. As a SaaS design agency, we measured the change across four metrics.

Metric Result
Order processing efficiency +30%
Order processing error rate 2+, reduced from 25%
